Purpose- This paper investigates an intensive case study about a small branch of a high street retail company in the United Kingdom. Theoretically, it is based on Burawoy's (1979) labour process theory 'Manufacturing Consent' and Actor-Network Theory (1992) by John Law. This study has addressed the urged for more research on accounting information in managerial control (Hall,2010). The effort has been given to explore the role of accounting information and gaming at shopfloor management.
